I like her progressive platform and background.

We (people under like 50, I guess) haven't had the chance to build wealth like previous generations, but that doesn't make our lives worth any less. That's why we need representation that actually knows the realities of today's economic and social landscapes, because we deserve new solutions fit for 2025 and beyond rather than the same ones our lawmakers have pushed since 2005.

(21,882 posts)She sounds pretty cool, too based on her website. I would gladly attend an event, but all the ones listed right now are in Chicago.

This is one of the problems that arises when districts are gerrymandered to hell and back; some constituents can end up being very far away from where most of the action is. *sigh* Still, at the end of the day, she (and anyone else who runs) is going to need votes from all over the district, even the boonies where I live. I hope she's planning to get out into other parts of the district one of these days.

I'm nowhere near deciding who I'll vote for yet. Not even sure who all will be running in the primary, but I'm looking forward to finding out and learning more about them.
