Selena Samios (R) Will Return To RPB Council After Election Win
Former Councilwoman Selena Samios has returned to the Royal Palm Beach Village Council after a razor-thin election victory Tuesday, March 10.
Samios took 1,175 votes (50.98 percent) to narrowly unseat incumbent Councilman Adam Miller in the Group 1 race. Miller took 1,130 votes (49.02 percent). Just over 2,300 voters took part in the election.
Samios first joined the council in 2016. She stepped down last year to run unsuccessfully for mayor. Samios was set to be sworn in at the villages annual reorganizational meeting on Thursday, March 19.
I am extremely pleased with the election results. I am honored that the residents of Royal Palm Beach have entrusted me to represent them for another two years, Samios said. I want to thank all of those who believed in me and supported me through this process. I look forward to continuing the work that we have begun.
