(4,585 posts)Gasoline doesn't keep forever, so if I haven't used it by spring, I'll add it to the tank of my car.
I learned long ago (the hard way) that it doesn't pay to NOT clear the driveway of snow, especially if cold weather is going to hang around after the snow. --- Fluffy snow will compact, partially melt, then REFREEZE into a solid chunk of ice that can neither be shoveled, nor cleaned with the snowblower. It's just a big ol' mess.
I complain, but MD winters aren't as bad as western PA winters... so I guess I should count my blessings.

(158 posts)Let your water drip so the water does not freeze your Galvanized Water Pipe that was Dipped in Zinc. District of Columbia, ask your EPA Neighbor for a Grant to Remove all Lead Pipes in the Ground. Ask Mayor Muriel Bowser where she is on this. Make the District of Columbia Healthy again by Removing Lead Pipes

* WHERE...Portions of DC, central Maryland, and northern Virginia.
* WHEN...From 10 PM Sunday to 1 AM EST Tuesday. Highest snowfall
rates occur overnight Sunday into early Monday morning. Snow may
mix with sleet and perhaps some freezing rain Monday morning into
the afternoon, especially right along the Interstate 66 corridor.
A lull in precipitation will occur sometime during the afternoon.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the D.C. region, in effect from 10 p.m. Sunday to 1 a.m. Tuesday. Between five and nine inches of accumulation are expected, with up to 12 inches in certain areas.
