Garfield County mails nearly 40,000 ballots for Nov. 4 election
Garfield County mailed out nearly 40,000 ballots to active registered voters last week for the upcoming Nov. 4 election, according to an Oct. 14 news release from the county.
The county sent more than 39,250 ballots on Oct. 10. All 24/7 ballot drop boxes are now open at the following locations:
- Near the main entrance at Carbondale Town Hall, 511 Colorado Ave., Carbondale
- At the Garfield County Courthouse, 109 Eighth St., Glenwood Springs
- Near the main entrance at New Castle Town Hall, 450 W. Main St., New Castle
- Near the main entrance at Silt Town Hall, 231 N. Seventh St., Silt
- Near the main entrance at the Garfield County Administration Building, 195 W. 14th St., #D, Rifle
- West of the utility drop box at Parachute Town Hall, 222 Grand Valley Way, Parachute
Voters can update their registration or register to vote until Oct. 27 at govotecolorado.com and still receive a ballot in the mail. Mailed-in ballots must be received by 7 p.m. on Nov. 4. Postmarks do not count.
