Still marvels of modern engineering. The forces on those engines day in and day out are beyond our imaginations. And yet only rarely do they fail.

8. In my thinking this has been the worst year in Colorado

of the almost 50 I have lived here. So you can imagine how thankful and blessed we feel that those 241 people on the Boeing plane and our neighbors in Broomfield are alive and safe after what they have lived through. And how much we hope United, Boeing and the federal government will make sure it never happens again.
