TEXARKANA, Ark. (KSLA) - Major street maintenance has been limited in Texarkana, but Texarkana, Arkansas, city leaders hope an upcoming Bond election can change things.

Texarkana, Arkansas, crews are on Mt. Olive Street making road repairs. City leaders say they have been limited on major street maintenance, but they hope to change this with a Street and Drainage Bond Election in November.

“It is giving citizens and residents an opportunity to decide on a critical funding measure designed to rehabilitate our public infrastructure,” says Allen Brown, Texarkana, Arkansas mayor.

Texarkana, Arkansas, Mayor Allen Brown said for decades, the city’s public works department has operated under severe funding limitations, resulting in growing maintenance needs.
