Lilac in winter

Taken this morning following last night's snowfall. My lilac might be familiar to you; I've posted photos of it when its buds first emerge in the spring and when the bush is in full bloom.

It's truly gorgeous.

And I love the second one too. Every branch, every twig is outlined in snow. It almost blends into the background.

And of course, in bloom last spring! Simply lovely.

I'm enjoying the snow! So far, our snowfalls have been a minor inconvenience.
