A wonderful photo, dear Bo! I normally prefer color, but the grayscale is great. Thank you! nt

Beautiful! The light hitting the porch railing and bits of the stairs is wonderful. 👍

(13,643 posts)3. What is the highest wind velocity you experienced while there?

(25,748 posts)6. In this particular lookout tower, probably 50-60 mph (last summer).
But in an Oregon lookout tower in around 2010, probably 90-100 mph. The wind was so scary that I got in a chair in a corner of the lookout, opposite the windward side, and covered myself with a sleeping bag. I fully expected the glass windows to shatter. But the only thing that shattered was my nerves.

Sometimes our mood requires grayscale.
