Burr Trail switchbacks at Capital Reef.

This is Burr Trail winding up through Waterpocket Fold at Capital Reef. The scale and perspective are somewhat deceptive. That "boulder" across the road on the left side is actually a huge cliff-- if you look carefully you can see one of the switchbacks between the foreground road and that cliff opposite. The plants on top are pinyon pine trees, not small shrubs.
