I stepped outside to see the afterglow, it's hot and smoky, and to see the crescent moon. What I enjoyed even more is that I finally saw my first bat for the summer, now that summer's over. It was just good to see one.

I'm scrolling down the photo, taking in the wonderful sky, and the wide-angle horizon!
When I spot that incredibly brilliant tiny moon getting ready in moments to plunge over the horizon!
Such a tiny yet brilliant object can hold our attention to the neglect of all the rest is so remarkable.
