Hot 'Lanta(na)

At the moment it's 93 degrees with 46% humidity in Lancaster, PA; in Hot 'Lanta (Atlanta) it's 89 degrees with 39% humidity. The lantana on the back deck is doing fine.

After a few days of bad air alerts, it’s been breezy here yesterday and today — still pretty warm, but the humidity is tolerable and the air quality is much improved.

But it would be hard to improve on the perfection of either the gorgeous lantana (the fractal flower I loved even before I knew its name) or this brilliant Allman Bros. tune, which has inspired me for more than 50 years.

Thank you for this oasis of beauty!

The heatwave here is expected to last through next Monday.

I, too, have been inspired by Hot 'Lanta and the Fillmore East album for more than half a century!
