(126,074 posts)I just saw where a collection of them has an opening bid of some $3,400.

(6,436 posts)My collection of four might bring $50. The rarest is the amethyst.

(23,393 posts)My daughter has a very large Mason jar that is probably 100 years old. It is blue and not as transparent as the one shown here. I think it is 1/2 gallon but not sure. I had it for a long time and gave it to her.
She saves her loose change in it.

(6,436 posts)I found it along with many old bottles and other intact artifacts by digging in a refuse dump by an old stone house the family owned in the early 1970s.

(23,393 posts)It was left there by the owner who was an ancient old lady. The house was built in 1921 so the jar is probably at least that old.

(6,436 posts)I inherited the set from my mother. There are three other candlestick holders as well.
The basket and glasses were my grandmother's.
Thanks!

(154,800 posts)I don't think I've ever seen such beautiful and amazing objects, lit as superbly as these are!
The colors are so rich and the backgrounds show them off brilliantly.
I'd say you're not experimenting; you're creating something astonishing.
