(2,431 posts)Performing live? Ableton Live Suite with Push (you will become a minor deity).
Studio? Reason 7
Both have great, great drums and I use both, depending on the situation.
Live and/or Reason drums in my stuff: https://soundcloud.com/dogknob
Loockback O'Connor and especially Bad Pot Luk have various snare rolls/fills.

(1,573 posts)If you are an accomplish synth programmer, you will try to find an used Elektron Octotrack for 1000. This is the best for the price. But beware, it's a complex machine, and a lot of new people buy it to sell it the next week because the first approach is difficult : it's really an Ableton in a Box.
If you need more a ready-to-beat-now machine, then a Korg Electribe ESX1SD will be the best on for EDM with his dual vacuum tube. The sound is great, good versatility, and the sequencer is really intuitive.
But as another post already said, you can do that in computer Daw too.
Hope it help !
