Tonight I cooked a great meal. But I was only able to eat a few bites. I was trying earlier to figure out how to transform the hate I'm feeling into maybe pity instead. It's making me sick.

I suppose, yes pity, and believing that 'he' may experience undeniable compunction and then do a 180° pivot.

I don't want his and all their destructive behavior to wreck me and my 'walk', if you will.
