For anyone who doesnt know, in addition to being a talented musician/composer, he was filmmaker Penelope Spheeris brother.

He performed a few songs for us, as I recall.

My GF was really into JS. She was a big fan of the Moody Blues. JS backed them up on a tour and thats where she saw him.
In 1973 we attended a concert by JS at the Greater Southeast Music Forum in Atlanta. Outside of Ian Anderson JS had probably the best baritone voice in rock. Butter!
The Moodies were also big fans!
