Bowie's Low was released 48 years ago today. And a tribute band with two of his old bandmates just announced a new tour.

Those former bandmates, now in Holy Holy, a band of famous musicians whose concerts celebrate Bowie's music (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holy_Holy_(tribute_band) ), are Tony Visconti - Bowie's longtime producer, friend, roommate (when David and Angela lived in Haddon Hall), and bass player in The Hype - and Woody Woodmansey, who was in The Hype and The Spiders From Mars (and also lived at Haddon Hall for a while, I believe). Glenn Gregory of Heaven 17 - see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glenn_Gregory and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heaven_17 - is the lead singer.

Holy Holy in Toronto, Jan. 12, 2016:

That was just two days after David's death on Jan. 10. Holy Holy were touring in January 2016 - they'd first toured in 2014 - and in fact had called David during their show on his birthday, Jan. 8, so fans could sing "Happy Birthday" for him: https://www.democraticunderground.com/103490737

Tony and Woody addressing the audience at the start of that show on the 12th:
