Buffalo Springfield - Broken Arrow

Written by Neil Young from the album Buffalo Springfield Again released in 1967. The song begins with the sound of a live performance of their hit, Mr Soul, but dissolves into surreal imagery to deal with emotions of the emptiness of fame, teenage angst, and hopelessness as Young had broken up with Buffalo Springfield, then rejoined the group. The Creek Indians held a ceremony after the Civil War that included a breaking of an arrow to symbolize the war's end.
