I was in college.
We lucked out in that the planned opening act canceled last minute, and a guy who worked there had just seen out coffeehouse trio at a place in Evanston. He really liked us.
So, he called us the evening before & asked us if we wanted to do it.
So we hot to open for Sonny & Brownie.
We weren't blues & were all covers, but the 2 of them really enjoyed us, especially our harmonies.
They couldn't have been nicer to us.
Then, we got to see them play. Not just for free, but we got $25 each AND got to see a couple of legends.
