Running thru the Jungle _ Creedence Clearwater Revival

From the album Cosmo's Factory released in 1970. Contrary to urban legend, the song was about the proliferation of guns in America and not about the Vietnam War (that was Fortunate Son).

...that got Fogarty sued for sounding too much like himself?
The publisher, I believed, sued him because his new song "Old Man Down The Road" sounded too much like "Jungle".
The guy got sued for ripping himself off?
Pretty sure I got that right.
