Many years ago I saw the touring Van Gogh show at the Philadelphia art museum.

That may have been the same tour I saw at the St. Louis Art Museum years ago.

I had always liked his work, but even more so after seeing it up front and in person.

Will go to National Gallery in DC this winter for some refreshment.

Having seen so much of his work in publications it is hard to appreciate how much difference there is in seeing it in person. I had a much greater appreciation of his work after the exhibit. He was a tortured soul.
