Two new GERMS paintings...

Your work reminds me of some of the Chicago Imagists, especially Karl Wirsum. https://www.mmoca.org/collection/chicago-imagists
I remember being delighted when I bumped into an exhibit of their work in the 80s.

...I am not Germs, but I have been collecting his work since around 2004.

I have collaborated with him on some things, such as the Germs lamp in the bottom photo, some limited edition prints and enameled "Lucha Squid" pins.

Next spring, assuming everything goes as planned, Cheech Marin will be opening his Chicano Art museum and will feature a Germs solo exhibition, for which I will be loaning (probably most) of my collection to the museum, so if you're anywhere near Southern California, drop by and have a look.

I'm nowhere near Southern California--I live in Connecticut and have never been west of Colorado--but how wonderful. Your collection is definitely museum-worthy.
