(53,410 posts)Its really incredible art and Im so glad it has survived. Especially with so much fragile paper. The photo of the pile of papers with chewed edges and water damage is really scary. How much wonderful art is neglected and forgotten, or never to be seen? What if the new house owners had just thrown it all away?
Ive always felt very strongly that the art we see in museums and art books is just a fraction of the art we know about. Real and meaningful art that is put away in attics and drawers. Art that is truly great art. Forgotten, and maybe destroyed from neglect.
