What a wonderful painting! You’ve captured the picturesque feeling of it very well.

I really like the trouble you’ve taken to work the small details in, like the flower pots and what looks like tiles with flowers running along the top of the windows, and the front door’s details. Your shadows are elegant, subtle. Is that a sailboat on display in the window? And the little tufts of grass growing along the sidewalk and the road are such a nice touch.


Technically you’re doing a great job. Your colors are lovely and the mixture of paint as washes and fine line work for the details works really well. I like that you’re using watered down paint to make the lines very faint on the siding on the buildings and the power lines.

Very nice. Your eye seems to be getting keener. More practiced and bolder. Your ability to see the subtleties of architecture is really showing. It’s a delightful painting.
