Started another cat painting while waiting for the first one to dry so I can paint more layers.

This is just the first layer. The details will be refined and proportions corrected some as I paint more layers and details.

My family of origin has always made fun of my attempts to make art and made me feel it was nothing but garbage.

My husband is very supportive though, which I am so grateful of. But sometimes the scars of the past and the lack of self-confidence weigh on me.

So I’m thinking of that word, and thinking, me? Wow! That’s a nice feeling hearing that! Thank you, 💙

Cats aren't the easiest creatures to paint. It's starting out beautifully! The cat looks like she's sporting a RBF!

I’ve known since high school and this is his kitty who was his favorite but his kitty passed away. So I want so much to make a painting he will like and one that he recognizes as looking like Felix because then he will have a comforting painting. I will be so disappointed in myself if I can’t give him a painting that achieves those goals.
