(38,685 posts)I love the geometrical shapes of the building, the windows, & the smokestacks, & it's so colorful. I love the bold blue of the water in contrast to the lighter blue of the sky, & the red of the building against the green foliage. I would never have thought to paint a power plant but I'm glad you did.
I also love Alley-oop!" & "In the Royal Family."
Thanks for sharing!

(53,410 posts)I appreciate your renderings of a time long past which is still in living memory for so many of us. And I still hope your paintings are displayed in some kind of museum place. I think you would find many people interested in seeing paintings of things they remember. This painting fits right in with your previous work on old buildings. Perhaps you can collect photos of your work into a book form and go to stores that might be interested in the industrial history of your location.
I also love your ability to render the effects of light on your subject in your Fender bender painting. ITs always kind of magical to see the reflected light from chrome objects and to see how well you do it. This painting looks like it could be an abstract depiction with your strong contrast of colors and defined lines and shapes. What you find interesting I find fascinating!
