Good morning my DU family,

As I wake up to a beautiful morning, I am of course chastened by the knowledge that so many laid down their lives just so I could.

As we remember all who paid the ultimate price, I, along many of you, have family members currently in harms way in the Middle East. My nephew is on a ship as a Marine.

I have been praying that our service members currently serving don't have to die for this particular cause so that they may protect our tomorrow as well.

Please give us a day filled with opportunities to honor those who sacrificed everything for our rights and freedoms, with our gratitude reaching every corner of our Universe.

Have a treasured day DU.
Love, John

Cold and grey where I am.

But we are still together.

While our principles of democracy are being attacked and eroded, we are still fighting together.

And we pause to consider the fallen members of the military, from the colonial army to those in the Middle East. Were it not for their service, perhaps this country might have been conquered, died a death of attrition or unsupported values.

We are together today and we will be together tomorrow.

Have a great day John.

Emile

Today is the day to reflect upon the sacrifices service members gave to their country.
