Just got my most recent lab results back. Nothing but good news.

Not even the slightest risk of diabetes. Metabolic function perfect, kidney and liver function excellent, negative PSA, mildly elevated LDL cholesterol. All other lipid markers within normal limits.

I know I sometimes jokingly exaggerate how much alcohol I drink. But it was still a relief to see normal liver function, and no diabetes.

Walking seven miles every weekend is paying off...

I love you all...

I am rethinking my physical fitness strategies now that I'm on the 70th swirl around the sun. My body responds to thing differently and adjustments have to be made. But walking is part of the plan.

You must be doing things right and I agree that walking is a major component.

Great news on your blood work, and nice to hear your "drinking" posts are exagerated and not actual super heavy consumption. It did seem a little incongruous with you being a medical professional.

Although a lot of medical practitioners are heavy drinkers. Terrible way to manage the stress, but we do it anyway.

My heavy drinking days are behind me. Me and my tanker buddies in the Army tried to drink Germany dry. We nearly succeeded. But that was a long thirty-five years ago.

That staple of 1950’s suburban cocktail parties. Gin, lemon juice, simple syrup, and club soda. I’ve got my Tom Collins glass chilling in the freezer right now.
