We caught another of the strays behind my trailer and

She's at the Vet getting fixed courtesy of E. A. R. S.

Effingham Animal Rescue Sanctuary and its founder Sally Perles.

https://effinghamanimalrescue.com/

This is their website, she has organized everything so we don't have to pay a penny. This is the fourth of seven.

If you can, please offer any support possible to this Godsend for animals as she oversees from first contact to adoption and everything in between.

They've spent well north of $1000 so far, including surgeries to help the kitty with the infected tail, and of course spay/neuter and shots for all of them.

I feel so good!

I have a cat sanctuary in Texas. Spay/neuter is THE way to end needless suffering, and I thank you for putting forth the effort to stop the breeding. Many people like to talk about it. But the ones who actually step forward, do the trapping, make the drive to the clinics, recover the animals, etc. are the ones making the world better.

Kudos!!!!

I am living proof that dreams do come true. I dreamed of my own for years. Scrimped and saved, cried and screamed. I finally was able to buy some property a couple of years ago and build my sanctuary.

I'd been in rescue for a gazillion years and our rescue group was winding down due to members' age, health issues, etc. I was able to consolidate all of the cats (we got every one!!!) that we had in TNR colonies and bring them here to live out their lives. We no longer do ANY intake. The goal is to outlive the ones that we have here and our promise is to them. Many of the cats are quite old and some have health issues. But they have a warm (or cool) building to be protected from the elements, they have regular meals, and they are safely confined in a very large area with different sections to provide stimulation and (hopefully!) happiness. They are all my babies!

I never thought it would materialize and I am grateful every single day to have this.
