To qualify myself as a lapsed fringe Hippie, I have maintained milk-fat-is-lethal, but not no-fried-foods, and have resumed vitamin pills.
Doctor asked what vegetables I eat, I said avocados and tomatoes?

degree of saltiness...

(21,366 posts)I read that long-term, they help with cholesterol. I've started maybe 2013 or 2014. My cholesterol runs a little high, but hasn't gotten worse over the years.
I usually just season the avocado with a little salt, pepper, cayenne, and Badia Complete. I tried avocado toast a couple of years ago and have it once in awhile as a treat. I bake my own bread, so it's a tasty combination. It's a favorite with my adult kids, too.
I think there are 2-4 servings in each avocado, so even if you don't get a varied diet, you're getting some vegetables in your diet.

Over time, I ran into somebody who said, "You go to HIM?! He 'treated' me for something-kidney for months and it turned out to be CANCER!"
And then somebody from a cristo "non-denominational' outfit said he parades in the congregation every Sunday, all arrogant.
And one time at an Emergency Room an almighty doctor was totally judgmental, then disappeared when the X-rays disproved his judgment.

I went to the same doctors' office for years. My dr. and 2 of his nurse practitioners retired last December and into the Spring. I just met a new nurse practitioner, hoping we can develop a relationship that works.

(15,346 posts)wait about ½ hour. While waiting make your avocado toast. When the time is over put the sardines over the toast/avocado mix and drizzle some oil over it...Yum!!
This only works if you like sardines... I like the little brisling sardines.. Full of good omega 3 fats..
and less expensive than salmon..

(10,823 posts)Really good, whole grain/seedy bread is better that plain white or wheat imo.
Trader Joes sourdough is also decent.
I also put cooked egg whites on it sometimes. Or a whole yolk egg, but that very rarely.
