Best movie ever made!
Still laugh when I think about the casting process. They originally wanted Ronald Reagan.

Death, the Angel of Death, falls in love. Long movie, but do get it.

A romantic comedy starring Sandra Bullock and Bull Pullman. Bullock plays a single woman who works for the Chicago Transit Authority ticket booth operator. See sees this well-dressed, attractive man every day and dreams of meeting him. When the man is attacked and falls on the train tracks, she rescues him. He's taken to the hospital and is in a coma. She goes to the hospital to see how he's doing and a nurse mistakes her for the man's fiance. The man's family arrives and the nurse tells the family Bullock is his fiancee and before Bullock can explain she's drawn into the family. The only member of the family, Pullman, doubts Bullock is his brother's fiancee and every time he questions her she comes up with an answer that stymies him. Gradually, they both fall in love with each other and the man in the coma come out of it confused unable to remember who she is.

This isn't a slapstick comedy but it is funny movie with a great cast including Peter Boyle and the great Jack Warden. The ending is one of the best romantic endings I've ever seen.

This was long ago before Mel went around the bend.

"The story is about a love affair set in Indonesia during the overthrow of President Sukarno. It follows a group of foreign correspondents in Jakarta during the weeks leading up to the attempted coup by the 30 September Movement in 1965. The film is considered one of the last in the Australian New Wave genre." (Mad Max, Road Warrior, Gallipoli, Breaker Morant, Crocodile Dundee, etc.) From Wikipedia
