If the idiots blew their wads on their noisy, fiery little toys last night (fingers crossed), the weekend is good.

If any of them did, I’m happy to give them at least one finger in return.

My daughter & I ran in the world's largest 10K, the Peachtree Road Race, yesterday morning. After that we hit the neighborhood pool & went out to see fireworks. Today I went with my husband & friend to see the 41st anniversary of "This Is Spinal Tap." I'm enjoying a nightcap now. I refuse to let the Fascist Felon ruin my holiday.

It's back to the fight next week.

Not feeling very festive this year, but we had our daughter and her fiance over yesterday and made hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill. It was a very casual get together, but any time we spend with them is a pleasure. We adore our daughter, and we're crazy about our future sil, because he has made her so happy.

Family can be a very mixed bag, but spending time with family that share the same values and enjoy each other's company is the best!
