https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-john-mckusick-overcome-health-and-financial-strugglesThe title sounds punny and in most circumstances it would be. Please let this be the exception.
Tomorrow is my 49th Anniversary in the United States. This is my American Birthday.
I will spend tomorrow at a protest in Springfield Illinois and honestly, I couldn't think of a better way to honor America and my special relationship with her.
If you have room in your budget, please help me stay in my home through these next several months as my SSDI appeal winds it's way to yes.
(Saw my Dr yesterday and he's trying to get me set up for new MRI to show continuing deterioration making things worse)
As we ponder our countries independence, with everything at stake as it truly is, please let us take this 4th of July, and renew our commitment to America and to Independence itself as we can no longer take either for granted.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your love and all the support you've given and continue to give and please, please, please take time this weekend to celebrate what we have, and to re-up for the fight to keep it.
After all, we have a 50th Anniversary party to plan for.
I love you, please be safe, and let's get back to basics in practicing citizenship and keep ourselves truly Independent.

Love, John
