Billy Strings "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"

This video comes in a little late while the song is already in progress. But this is an amazing and respectful cover of Gordon Lightfoot's classic.

Strings has been moving away from bluegrass of late, into more profitable real estate.
I read an interview where he says he doesn't care about the money or fame, only the craft. He still lives modestly and used his Opry money to buy his mom a house.

There is no reason he shouldn't refocus his incredible talent into a genre that would enrichen many more lives. Including himself.

Great cover. Thanx for posting!

Edited to spell "only" instead of on.

The timbre, the phrasing, the accenting of certain notes...
I'm a little surprised they lengthened an already long song.
But, they do s fine job of it. I love that distorted tone Billy is getting put of an acoustic guitar!
