The skunk we had once had a different shaped head and bodly. But the white stripe does look skunk-like

7. We have solid white squirrels in the eastern Transylvania County (Brevard) area of NC.

They are white, not albino. I'd love to see some hybrids with the ubiquitous gray squirrels around here, but I never have. I'd also like to see a DNA analysis of that Tricolor squirrel.

9. One of the best things in my life was raising a baby squirrel that fell out of a tree being removed next door

We had a great time with it until 16 weeks when we acclimated it to the wild. That alone took 2 weeks as he didn't want to leave at first. It wasn't until another squirrel about his size came around. We never saw him at the house again.

15. We had black squirrels when we lived in Maryland

but definitely nothing like this tricolor.
