(1,237 posts)Why shouldn't the public know if artificial intelligence has been used to generate part or all of a project?
Authors, musicians, other artists, and corporations protect their work with copyright and patents. Shouldn't a reverse patent be used to protect the public?
I'm in a position to write to members of a group. I take the time to compose and edit the material. I would be offended if the members thought I would use AI to create my work.
I think we should separate AI work to the benefit of the creators and consumers.

(49,649 posts)And the Meat Dept. mislabeled a 12-pound prime rib (four ribs) as "stew meat". It should have been priced at least $200+. I called my manager before the sale went through. But because of the crowds and the long waiting on all aisles, we let the customer save $140 on the prime rib.
And if that didn't bug me to no end, the customer had the nerve to demand an extra discount on his discount because the prime rib (albeit it was mislabeled as stew meat) was on sale and he would have saved yet another $50.
