How many of you have had experience with all of them?

There are probably still some legacy instruments/utilities runing old small DOS systems without available updates.

I found myself pre-guessing future outcomes when the good and bad players kicked in. No surprises, except I expect the Apple OS systems to grow bit higher.

mostly embedded computers that are in everything from your car to your fridge.

A better measure would be either be computing OP/sec/per OS... or user interactions per OS.

Linux would be waaaay ahead ( most of the web is powered by Linux servers ).

I have written software at the OS layer ( device drivers and file systems ) for most of the OSes on the list. Except for the later versions of Winblows. Even for DOS ( good ol int13! )

They all have their strengths and weaknesses.

Oh, and they didn't count the RTOS that existed during a large chunk of the time covered. I suspect some are still around today.
