(17,714 posts)You would get somewhere between $600M-$700M before taxes if you took a lump sum payment. Figure 40% for taxes, fees, bloodsuckers, and the like.
So maybe you would end up with $350M out of that pot? That's a conservative estimate of course.
Houseing 500 families a month would cost about $1M. So $12M/year for 500 families. You can see that pot isn't infinite.
