(27,560 posts)Some people just have no class or sense of decorum. Others revel in being contrarian. Maybe they didn't get enough attention as toddlers.
Whatever the case, it's behavior that reeks of a lack of personal dignity and self respect.

She was absent for around three months earlier this year. During that time, over 20 nominees were confirmed by the full Senate and there currently are another 20 or so nominees pending full senate consideration. Moreover, the Judiciary Committee continued to approve nominees during her absence.
The reality is that the vast majority -- around 90 percent -- of Biden's nominees get at least one, and often more, repub vote -- both in Committee and on the floor. In just the past two weeks, the Committee has approved 10 judicial nominees and only one of them didn't get any repub votes (most received between 2 and 5 repub votes).
