AG Pam Bondi Isn't Filing Criminal Charges, It's Just A Lawsuit

Yesterday, AG Pam Bondi—one of Trump’s biggest cult followers—held a dramatic press conference to make a “big” announcement.

Strutting out to the podium with that smarmy maga swagger, Bondi said: “We have filed charges against the state of New York, we have filed charges against Kathy Hochul, we have filed charges against Letitia James and Mark Schroeder.”

Using the word “charges,” Bondi seemed to be insinuating that criminal charges were filed—giving the impression that NY Gov. Kathy Hochul, NY AG Letitia James, and others were going to be arrested.

I can confirm there have been no criminal charges filed. No one is getting arrested for this, because it’s a civil lawsuit. The whole PR stunt was a dangerous charade to smear Democrats, as part of Trump’s demented revenge tour.
