Trump demands Federal employees snitch on their colleagues who work in DEI roles or risk 'adverse consequences'
This is exactly how trump operates--setting up people not to trust their fellow workers. damn.
I dont think the Trump administration knows who the federal DEI hires are. This leaves minorities, women, and the disabled open to being targeted.

WASHINGTON Federal employees received emails Wednesday warning that they could face repercussions if they do not report on co-workers who work in diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility positions that might have gone unnoticed by government supervisors.
"We are aware of efforts by some in government to disguise these programs by using coded or imprecise language," said emails sent to government employees and obtained by NBC News.
Employees were directed to notify the Office of Personnel Management if they are "aware of a change in any contract description or personnel position description since November 5, 2024 to obscure the connection between the contract and DEIA or similar ideologies."
"There will be no adverse consequences for timely reporting this information," the email said. "However, failure to report this information within 10 days may result in adverse consequences."
Workers across multiple agencies and departments have received emails with the same language as of Wednesday night........................................

(11,735 posts)I'm sure that there will be some white people (mostly men) who will take this opportunity to get their co-workers fired. I keep thinking back to the old, mediocre white men that I used to work with, who would complain about the "affirmative action" hires getting promoted instead of them. Well, if you wouldn't sit on your asses drinking coffee and talking sports all day, maybe you'd get promoted too, assholes!
I know that during the last Orange Turd administration, I saw a car with a "Government isn't the Solution, Government is the Problem" parked in a Senior Executive parking spot at work. It also had a T*p sticker. Unless the owner of this car was directly hired as a Senior Executive - which was rare in my agency - he had been in the "government" long enough to be promoted to a high position. You, sir, are part of the problem.

(7,699 posts)Contractors from thousands of companies would be required to revise how they hire if they want to do business with the Federal Government.
This could create a major disruption in the whole process of government purchasing.
What I think will actually happen is that most companies will continue with their current hiring practices, but not call it DEI. There isn't exactly a lot of unemployed excess labor out their anyway.
