Dworkin Report - The Most Repulsive Inauguration Rant in US History, With Even Worse Coverage
If you chose not to watch the sad and pathetic gathering at the Capitol yesterday, you didn’t miss much. The whole thing was a boring, lie-filled snoozefest, where Donald has never looked more orange.
The backdrop was a mix of American oligarchs, and folks who looked like they were being held hostage. He said nothing that warrants repeating, so I’m not going to waste time analyzing his speech.
Instead of the trash that came out of his mouth, I decided to focus my energy on corporate media’s coverage of the event—which was sick and twisted. I spent half of the day analyzing more than 100 articles, and hours of footage. And wow—the pro-Trump spin machine went into overdrive.
NBC News decided to run this headline: “‘We're taking it back’: Trump promises action on Panama Canal.” And another piece that called yesterday a “Remarkable Political Comeback.” Give me a break.
