James Carville is Wrong

#JamesCarville was on the news this morning (I think CNN?) Advocating that the Democratic party should become MAGA-LIGHT. That they should get out of their "Ivory Tower" and stop using Fancy Pants "NPR Speak" to appeal to Trump Voters.

WRONG. This is the Exact Opposite of what the Democratic party should do if it ever wants to win anymore elections.

First of all, the Racist dipshits who are enthralled with an Orange Incompetent Grifter-Felon pretending to give microphones blowjobs at his idiot rallies will never vote Democratic anyways.

Second, you flirt with MAGA and try to become MAGA-Light, you're going to lose far more voters than the half dozen you might gain. Hundreds of thousands of Americans have one foot out the door right now, something like that and I'm pushing up my timeline on getting an EU Visa.

3. Bash Carville too. How does that help? Maybe help some feel better, but doubt it will help us in mid-terms or after that

Directing the party to alter course to appeal to the bigotry, greed, and cruelty of MAGA will help win midterms?

14. Try this-- Bashing every damn Democrat that has helped us for last 30 years is not way to a victory in 2026 or beyond.

We don’t. We are no danger to Carville or the Democratic Party when we disagree with him in honest terms here.

5. Dems need to appeal to workers in the broadest sense, pocketbook issues

instead of targeting appeals to many segments of their core constituencies, such as upscale suburbanites.

I don't know how we raised minimum wage but failed to appeal to working stiffs. They only saw inflation.

11. You can't appeal to white male racists and sexists. THAT is Trump's constituency.

I am tired of this constant refrain because it is futile. "Pocketbook" issues are false and what was not happening here.

There are literally millions of people who do not vote. THERE is where Democrats need to go.

The issue this past election was NOT "the economy." The truth is as long as there is white male privilege, no woman will EVER be elected president of the United States.

We need to be honest and tell the truth. It was the sexism (and racism to a lesser extent).

He used to come up with some decent ideas..now, he's headed for Bill Maher's territory.
I used to love Bill but now, I put up with him.

I posted an OP, just a bit ago, in which I address Carville and his "dumbing it down" rhetoric, as well as other faulty narrative coming out of the Dem Party leaders.

15. Forget Carville. The Democratic Party must pay attention to the long surviving anti-war component of the US population.

Nearly 200 years ago, Congressman Abraham Lincoln (R-IL) opposed the Mexican-American War.

American hero USMC General Smedley Butler, author of "War is a Racket."

US Senator Robert M. La Follette (R-WI) opposed US entry into the First World War. "Stand firm against the war and the future will honor you. Collective homicide can not establish human rights. For our country to enter the European war would be treason to humanity."

Why these US Army MPs have their carbines trained on these unarmed Vietnam War protestors at the Pentagon is mind-boggling. (Photo: DoD)
