We can't memory hole the Election Day bomb threats

Though it’s largely already been forgotten, 2024 was not a completely peaceful election. Anonymous terrorists, probably working for Russia, sent bomb threats to numerous majority Black and Native American polling places in battleground states in an effort to disrupt voting and aid the Trump campaign.

The threats were widely reported on Election Day itself. However, in the aftermath of Trump’s narrow but definitive win, there has been little discussion of these egregious, deliberate attacks on democracy in general, and on the voting rights of Black and Native American people in particular. Analysts have instead focused on whether the Democrats and Kamala Harris should have run further to the left or further to the right or further in some other direction.

The bomb threats did not change the election outcome, so it’s perhaps understandable that they have not been a focus of the collective, apparently endless post-election autopsy. But the lack of interest in an egregious assault on American democracy is a mistake. The attacks demonstrate how fragile our democracy is. And they provide a blueprint for the MAGA regime to tamper in elections in the future.

The fact that incoming president Donald Trump can and probably would try to block investigations into Russia’s involvement — and into the Trump campaign’s potential involvement as well — is chilling. If we want to prevent attacks like this in the future, it’s important not to instantly memory hole the attack that just happened.

not to mention the propaganda, this was NOT a free and fair election.
whether or not votes totals were changed, this election was tampered w.

i keep waiting for someone like stacy abrams or the brennan center to put a number on the voter suppression measures’ success. in such a tight election, i firmly believe the outcome wd change. cuz, let’s face it, this was a 1 sided effort.

Lying persons on Tik-toc, Facebook, TwitX, ...
I found one on Nextdoor saying women are being attacked by anti-abortion people. I alerted on it.
Fear of helping old ladies submit their ballots like a mule.
Letters saying to vote on Wednesday.
No instructions for provisional ballots to come back to Clerks office.
Each of many persons removing thousands of voters from roles -- each.
No reporting numbers of provisionals, rejects with no provisional, bodies entering location,
Lying memes on social media to say both sides are the same.

Add it all up and 10 million voters did not vote.

I will never believe this election was not stolen. Means, motive and opportunity were all on the side of the biggest criminal we've ever elected to office. Hundreds of millions of dollars buys a LOT of silence.

How many "not enoughs" does it take to change the results when you add them all up?
