Thanks Merrick

I won’t write about the specifics of the House Ethics Committed report on Matt Gaetz, it has already been able handled on this site.

What I will note that that in 2023, that Merrick Garland’s DoJ dropped its investigation of Gaetz, despite strong evidence of wrongdoing.

This sh%$ is pretty much black letter law:

Responsible coverage of the Gaetz report would add: paying a minor for sex alone is a violation of the federal sex trafficking statute, no transportation or coercion required (and an alleged trafficker not knowing an alleged victim’s age is not considered a defense) www.cbsnews.com/news/matt-ga...

only a few days left. Now that I have that out of the way, I wonder why the legal experts here never mention this part

paying a minor for sex alone is a violation of the federal sex trafficking statute, no transportation or coercion required (and an alleged trafficker not knowing an alleged victim’s age is not considered a defense)
Garland certainly knew that If it's true. But all they have said since yesterday is that she was legal in the state of Florida, they repeat that part like parrots. Garlands office oh which he is in charge of, didn't know that sex trafficking is a federal offense?

2. Garland's term of service as Attorney General is one of the failures of the Biden Administration.

Had he done his job, Trump would have been ineligible to run for office, at the very least, and very likely serving time in a federal prison somewhere. His apologists have run out of reasonable explanations.

Seriously, there is no way a the US Justice Department or an Attorney General of the United States could fail so badly.
