Epstein survivors sue Trump administration and Google over release of private information

A group of Epstein survivors filed a class action lawsuit against the Trump administration and Google on Thursday over the disclosure of personal information found in the release of files related to the late sex offender over the past several months.
“The United States, acting through the DOJ, made a deliberate policy choice to prioritize rapid, large-volume disclosure over protection of Epstein survivors’ privacy,” the plaintiffs said, adding that the Justice Department “outed approximately 100 survivors of the convicted sexual predator, publishing their private information and identifying them to the world.”
While the government later withdrew survivors’ personal information from the publicly released files, the survivors said that “online entities like Google continuously republish it, refusing victims’ pleas to take it down.” Specifically, the plaintiffs said their personal information continues to be displayed in search results and AI-generated content.
“Survivors now face renewed trauma. Strangers call them, email them, threaten their physical safety, and accuse them of conspiring with Epstein when they are, in reality, Epstein’s victims,” the complaint reads.

I have posted about it some here. I was thinking wryly that now I am a complainant..
I used shrink from complaining during more peaceful times as I hate being conspicuous or noticed dull routine contexts aside.
But thanks to Trump’s chaos paradoxically I can stick it to one of the worst malpractitioners in tech which tried to corrupt the NIH’s internal work culture. Under the cover of the general chaos I can relax and be a bit wacky and file complaints without attracting unwanted attention or losing my anonymity.
I have never had issues with my colleagues, but Google brought in thjs creepy and callously exploitative work culture. Exploiting the trust I had in my colleagues in academic science (outside CS/Economics or BSchool rubbish), they made life hell.
And I am going to file serious allegations of egregious misconduct in human subject research and psychiatric malpractice to assail a complainant’s credibility as soon as I finish a paper I am working on and get in touch with my main mentor, who is amazing. I love the guy-he is not just an elite scientist, he is a true elite. Like in the best sense of the word. He is a Bernie supporter

He had very democratic tendencies despite being elite. Not like Jan 6 or other brainless mobbing.
My last mentor (and the lab) were also decent and I liked and respected his wife-a decent and honest woman. I had also befriended one male scientist who is now a pi somewhere. He was not brainwashed. But then the admins at that hell don’t like actual feminists who are not girlbosses and attack the system rather than be a useful idiot.
I have no use for race and gender wars when these parasitic tech companies are trying to make democracy a joke with divide and rule. A common ploy of colonizers.
But Google is a hateful piece of shit that strains all decent scientists and doctors. Fuck ‘em.
I am also going to initiate a complaint requesting the Indian state (not politicians-the democratic apparatus of the state -most people here are decent outside industry, entertainment and politics..all areas I avoid) to support me against an exploitative, abusive tech private sector driven creepy surveillance state. I want to abort this and take it to honest entities inside the state for a postmortem and transparency with the public over accelerated hustle that has almost certainly left one person dead and cost me 13+ years additionally on top of 8 months in hell.
I am a mediocre and slightly doltish, but essentially honest scientist. I have never engaged in misconduct or any kind of sleazy fraud. But I can be profane if irked and I use marijuana and can be a bit rough around the edges. But I have never had a serious mental illness or done anything wrong marijuana use aside.
Ambani, Vinod Khosla, Adani, Mahindra etc are just parasites and I have already been sexually harassed overtly by one defense contractor in 2014 (a holographer with a Lockheed Martin contract at some point) and harassed on my street for 5 years at this point as I was mourning my mom.
My doctors here are decent, but this sleazy private equity Blackstone is buying up hospitals. Hospital administrators very different from actual doctors, nurses etc.
They chronically underpay nurses and it is just all scandalous and shameful.
I lost my mom despite her having an excellent oncologist (who is my onc as well) and a competent home nurse. He set us up with a good home testing service as well.
Medicine and science have to adapt to changing times by instituting rigourous and decent guidelines for the age of big data and ai instead of exploiting coercive psychiatry, lies and methods borrowed from the creeps at Google, Microsoft and Facebook (not to mention unknown small creepy cos) or they will go this way:

I have not told my dad yet - he is in good health, but he is 80 and gets worried easily. He is a military vet and I will get help from the Indian Navy if necessary. This my home and neither the state and certainly no private sector company can come in and start modifying the place and exploiting the streets without public debate etc. It is sexual harassment to eavesdrop and force tech. And making life hellish with additional surveillance of some already exploited poor techies is not the fix, while keeping an undemocratic Panopticon in place. There needs to be a legal precedent stopping such exploitative shit.
I am goinf to file complaints retroactively going back to 2011. Never again. That was hell and now I can start living again.
I contacted in the main two journalists I trust: Yasha Levine, Chris Ketcham.
And Ed Zitron. I plan to also contact Matt Stoller and Troy Farah.

Anyway I am logging off to finish a paper (which I am hoping I can finish by this time next year, having finally resolved on a steady course of action).

... when the information was released by the US government and it was posted on the internet. Google has no ownership of the news. How can Google control what individuals and news broadcasters put out in the blog-o-sphere?
When Google was asked by some victims to take down certain names and stories, yes they should have complied. Google is at fault for that failure. However it can't be blamed for the fact that the stories were on the internet in the first place.
