Mace asks CIA director for documents agency may have on Epstein, Maxwell

Source: The Hill

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) requested that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) release “any and all” documents it may possess related to convicted sex offenders Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell in a Tuesday letter to the agency’s director.

“Congress needs to know what, if any, relationship the CIA had with Jeffrey Epstein and what information they’re sitting on,” Mace wrote in a post on the social platform X on Tuesday. “Classified or not, we want to see it,” the congresswoman continued. “The American people deserve answers about whether our intelligence agencies had connections to a child sex trafficker.”

Mace sits on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and has been a vocal proponent of releasing files related to Epstein. She joined a bipartisan group of legislators to vote for the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which directed the Department of Justice (DOJ) to release all documents related to their probe into Epstein with appropriate redactions made for victim privacy.

In her letter to CIA Director John Ratcliffe, which was included in her Tuesday post on X, Mace referenced a 2011 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request from Epstein’s lawyers “to show his affiliation with the CIA.”

The "transformation" of her and MTG is just wild.

Don't forget that an absolutely HUGE motivation for Trump is to create the existence of a Deep State that he can brand as responsible for every government action against him, whether that's charging him with crimes, showing that he swings from Pootie's sack, releasing his IRS records, you name it. It's an all-purpose boogieman for the consumption of the MAGA cult.

His constructing a facade wherein the "Deep State" was "corruptly protecting" Epstein helps with that case, esp. if the CIA is even remotely "involved". Hell, just having a MAGAt like Mace make this request (which I'm sure will be all over Faux and the MAGA podcasters shows shortly) aids in that.

That goal is also why (I believe) the GQP Congress is hauling all the "Deep Staters" like the Clintons, Lynch, Holder, Barr, and Garland, before them soon. To "probe" how "the DoJ let Epstein get away with everything for so long". That is basically the committee's mission statement.

If everyone is "compromised" by ZOMG TEH DEEP STATE then nobody can trust any action anyone in government takes against him, because "Everything is rigged and weaponized against TRUMP!"

So, personally, yes I'd like the facts, but I don't trust how the GQP will handle them when they get them. They're not out to "help" ANYONE but themselves, their billionaire donors, and King Pedonald.

2. Ask Foreign Intelligence Agencies

I wonder if there may be some backchannel or liaison with foreign agencies to cross-check whatever information Mace is able to get from CIA. And if they stonewall or give disinformation, it may be discussed in intel committee hearings. It is widely known that honeypot sex traps are common tools of most spy agencies to provide leverage over their targets. And if Epstein was working as a cut-out providing such services for them, he probably felt he was protected by them because of this. His first arrest in Florida was brushed aside by strange legal maneuvers resulting in a slap on the wrist. US Attorney Alex Acosta reportedly said he was told to back off because he (Epstein) "belonged to intelligence." But the increasingly revealed sex scandals associated with him brought too much heat to the operation so perhaps the agency decided to cover their tracks and terminate his contract-- "with extreme prejudice." And they made it look like suicide. It doesn't seem to matter to them when they can only offer such an implausible deniability.

intelligence services of UK and France may have an interest in leaking some things about Trump because they know he is trouble for European stability. And they also know about his deals with his pal Putin to sell them out. And though the Trump/Epstein revelations may be stifled in the US, they probably have agents all over this and it will not easily disappear from further investigations and revelations by many different sources as well.

She should contact non-CIA officials who still have security clearance. Most of the former Obama and Biden intelligence employees have lost their security clearances, simply because Chump is a vindictive asshole. But there may be a few who are still able to access the top secret files.

Don't forget that Epstein did have frequent contacts with Russians, including Russian oligarchs, and I have no doubt that he was under surveillance of one kind or another. One of the reasons he moved to the Lesser St. James Island was to avoid US surveillance.
