The Secret Service has placed an agent on administrative leave after an undercover video showed him discussing sensitive parts of his duties, NewsNations Kevin Bohn reported Tuesday.
The Secret Service also suspended the agents security clearance, who served on Vice President Vances detail and has worked for the law enforcement agency for five years.
The video published Tuesday by the OKeefe Media Group helmed by conservative activist James OKeefe shows the agent telling a woman about sensitive information related to Vances security measures and travel plans. The outlet identified the agent as Tomas A. Escotto, while the Secret Service declined to confirm his identity to NewsNation, citing privacy requirements.
The U.S. Secret Service has no tolerance for any behavior that could potentially compromise the safety, privacy or trust of our protectees. This incident is under investigation and the employee involved has been placed on administrative leave with his clearance suspended and access to agency facilities and systems revoked, Deputy Secret Service Director Matthew Quinn said in a statement to NewsNation.

(1,618 posts)did everything they could to get Pence out of the building, and transport him ?????? somewhere ????? where he couldn't certify the election?????? Pence refused to get in the car they had waiting, and stated to HIS SS Detail that he didn't recognize any of the SS in the car, and he wouldn't go with them. Thank goodness his detail said okay, and protected him staying in the Capitol......
