Trump taps Sean Duffy as interim NASA administrator

Source: The Hill

President Trump said late Wednesday that he was tapping Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy to lead NASA on an interim basis after Trump yanked his original nominee for the post.

“Sean is doing a TREMENDOUS job in handling our Country’s Transportation Affairs, including creating a state-of-the-art Air Traffic Control systems, while at the same time rebuilding our roads and bridges, making them efficient, and beautiful, again,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “He will be a fantastic leader of the ever more important Space Agency, even if only for a short period of time.”

Duffy becomes the latest Cabinet official to be given multiple job titles. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is also serving as interim national security adviser.

Duffy responded to the president’s post on X, writing, “Honored to accept this mission. Time to take over space. Let’s launch.”

For the wonderful career rocket scientists and support staff of NASA.

State of the Art Air Traffic Control System? Rebuilding our roads and bridges? Fantastic Leader? We are being led by Question Mark and the Republicans.

He's already been contacted by search firms. He's brushing up his resume also. He loves his job but doesn't trust Trump and anyone appointed by him. They've all received a few emails from the higher ups "not to panic". Yeah, right.

He always lands on his feet. He's an amazing man and staunch Democrat. He has an incredible work ethic along with the high IQ. He's on the Artemis program which he hopes he can see through to the launch. I'm just surprised that the doofus in chief hasn't renamed Kennedy Space Center.

If you're ever interested, look up how many name changes this went through over the years. It almost seems like it was a typical Florida political thing. They didn't like that President Johnson renamed Cape Canaveral to Cape Kennedy. I think it became quite a battle. Eventually, Florida won out and the town is Cape Canaveral but where the space center is located was changed to Kennedy Space Center, or KSC.

I still don't trust that doofus won't rename it Musk Space Center if they ever "mend their relationship". (I think their feud is political theater myself.)

He used to admire Musk years ago, but now not at all. In fact, he bought one of the first Tesla Model S cars but recently sold it. He won't have another Tesla even though he liked the car.

Bottom line.

Here's how you do it:

Trump announced the appointment on his private social media app.

Here's how you DO NOT do it if you have a shred of integrity or basic competence:

“Sean is doing a TREMENDOUS job in handling our Country’s Transportation Affairs, including creating a state-of-the-art Air Traffic Control systems, while at the same time rebuilding our roads and bridges, making them efficient, and beautiful, again,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “He will be a fantastic leader of the ever more important Space Agency, even if only for a short period of time.”

Thank you Joe Biden.

The "Bipartisan Infrastructure Law," officially the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), is a United States federal statute signed into law by President Joe Biden on November 15, 2021. It's a significant piece of legislation that allocates approximately $1.2 trillion for investments in infrastructure projects.

A number of red states did not invest their allocated share of the Infrastructure Law while Biden was in office so he would not get credit.
