Anti-Trump 'Hands Off!' protests draw thousands across N.J.

In Montclair and Monroe, Toms River and Red Bank, Princeton and Bridgewater, packs of protesters gathered at spots across New Jersey on Saturday to demonstrate against President Donald Trump.
The rallies, which drew hundreds to thousands of people apiece at several Garden State locations, were part of mass organized protests Saturday throughout the nation called Hands Off! There were more than 20 such events scheduled in New Jersey.
The goal: to speak out against Trumps policies about two months into his return to the White House, including his hot-button push for tariffs, the steep drops in the stock market, and the vast and controversial federal government overhaul being overseen by Elon Musk at the new Department of Government Efficiency.
In Brookdale Park, which straddles Montclair and Bloomfield, U.S. Sen. Cory Booker was one of several officials who spoke to the massive crowd, which organizers said included thousands of people.

I didnt get to see Cory though. I had to walk so far because there were no parking spaces. Every single one was taken, and there were tons of county police driving the area, so no illegal parking.
By the time I got there, his speech was over. However, it was a very fun atmosphere. Everyone seemed to be in a good mood and while I didnt see anyone I knew (this was in a neighborhood where I lived for 20 years), I had many pleasant conversations with about five different people.
For a former advertising copywriter, my sign was not all that clever. It said something important, though: Thank you Attorney General
Matt Platkin, for suing Trump. I asked someone to take a picture with my camera of me and my sign. I am going to email the picture to AG Platkin tomorrow. My AG is one of 16 Democratic attorneys general who are suing Trump for his egregious executive orders.
I have always been an active protester, but I feel very good tonight, seeing what a success the protests were across the world. I am happy to have been a participant.

I wanted to go to the one in Toms River. But I am recovering from having several blood clots on one lung, and have very little energy. I was in a hospital for several days.
My husband and his brother took trains to NYC and took part in the march there.
