"He was very patriotic": Vegas Cybertruck bombing suspect's family says he "loved Trump"

The man behind the wheel of a Tesla Cybertruck that exploded in front of Trump Tower in Las Vegas on Wednesday was a Donald Trump-loving “super soldier,” according to a family member who spoke with The Independent on Thursday. Matthew Livelsberger’s uncle, Dean Livelsberger, told the outlet that he was shocked to hear his nephew was involved in the explosion.

“He used to have all patriotic stuff on Facebook, he was 100 percent loving the country,” the elder Livelsberger told The Independent. “He loved Trump, and he was always a very, very patriotic soldier, a patriotic American. It’s one of the reasons he was in Special Forces for so many years. It wasn’t just one tour of duty.”

A law enforcement official confirmed the 37-year-old Cybertruck driver’s love for the president-elect to the Daily Beast on Thursday. Though Liverlsberger isn’t suspected to have been targeting Trump, the incident drew parallels with two separate men who made assassination attempts on Trump last year.

Livelsberger’s uncle added that, given his Green Beret background and skills, he could have created a much larger explosion if he wanted.

Part of the Bannon and Loomer maga wing. Both have been busy online talking out against tfg and musk H1B visas. A death like that to me seems to indicate the split. Both tfg and musk have been acting like they are against all immigration especially tfg saying they’re taking away jobs from Americans. But then turn around and say they’re for the visas. I’m wondering how big of a split will it be.

Honestly I wouldn’t doubt if there’s a lot more coming. We saw Nick Fuentes rail about choosing JD as Bo since his wife is Indian descent. The base consists of a lot of hard right bigots. The visas just added fuel to that fire.

The republicans in the house and senate are also going to be caught up in this. Do they alienate the base or go against tfg? Will they worry about the base trying to go after them physically? Will there be immigration purity tests coming up? I’m sure Bannon and Loomer will be trying to push it.
